HRV’s
Heat recovery ventilation, also known as HRV is an energy recovery ventilation system. HRV provides fresh air and improved climate control, while also saving energy by reducing the heating (or cooling) requirements.
As houses in cold climates are built tighter in terms of air leakage, Heat Recovery Ventilators have become required equipment so that fresh air is supplied to occupants.
-
Humidifiers
Increase the humidity (moisture) in the entire house. For buildings with a forced air furnace, a humidifier may be installed into the furnace. They can also protect furniture which may be sensitive to damage from overly dry air. In colder months, they may provide substantial energy savings, as humidity increases occupants feel warm at a lower temperature.
Air Filters
An air filter is used to improve air quality in your home and to protect your furnace. Some particles in the air do not disappear from your regular cleaning routine. These particles include pollen, mould spores, bacteria and more, that can lead to several health issues. The best way to reduce the particles in your home is to use air/furnace filters.
UV Light Purifiers
UV light can destroy many virus types, mould and bacteria. If you suffer from asthma or allergies you should consider installing an air purifier. UV light purifiers use UV light to expel allergens in the same way the sun expels allergens outdoors.
ERV and HRV (Energy Recovery Ventilators and Heat Recovery Ventilators)
These ventilator systems improve indoor air quality by improving the flow of air, using advanced dual chamber technology. These systems exchange stale air from inside your home, with fresh outdoor air.
